Sean Doherty announced as next Principal of Trinity College, Bristol

This morning it has been announced that Revd Dr Sean Doherty, Director of Studies at St Mellitus College, has been appointed as the next Principal of Trinity College, Bristol.  

Sean joined the staff team in 2010 as Tutor and Lecturer in Ethics.  His leadership, teaching, passion and commitment over the last 8½ years have been instrumental in the life and growth of the college. As Principal of Trinity College, Bristol, Sean will continue to be working to train and equip church leaders and lay students and we look forward to working in collaboration with him in the future. 

Andy comments: “Sean has been a core and highly valued part of the team since the early days of the collegeHe has been a fantastic colleague and a highly valued part of the leadership team. Sean has served the college in a multitude of capacities and has done so in his characteristic way, with passion and energy, care for the individual, integrity, compassion and wisdom. We will be very sorry to lose him from the staff team but are delighted with his appointment.”

Sean writes: "It has been an enormous privilege to be involved in the early years and growth of St Mellitus College, and to serve as Director of Studies. I'm delighted that this new role enables me to continue to serve the church through training candidates for ordination and equipping lay students for mission and ministry. I am looking forward to this new challenge and am grateful to be joining an excellent team at Trinity College."
