Revd Jitesh Patel is Assistant Director at St Mellitus College, East Midlands; he combines this role with being Associate Vicar at Holy Trinity Church Leicester in the Diocese of Leicester, where he has been since March 2018. Before being appointed at St Mellitus he was also the Director of Contextual Training in the Diocese of Leicester. His Doctoral Studies look at the relationship between Postmodern Philosophy and the Charismatic Movement. Previously to moving to Leicester Jitesh served as a Vicar in the Diocese of Portsmouth and prior to that he served his first ordained post in the Diocese of Oxford. He is also currently a BAP selection advisor on the National Ministry Division team. Outside of ministry and theology interests include international travel, running and beating his wife Bridget at board games (occasionally).
Jitesh’s current PhD research looks at the relationship between Postmodernism and the Charismatic movement in the Church of England, supervised by Prof Allan Anderson at the University of Birmingham.
