Stephanie Day is Academic Development Tutor at St Mellitus College. She has a D Phil in Medieval Studies from the University of York, an AKC and a tertiary teaching diploma. She taught Medieval English at York University in the 1990s, and taught study skills at the University of Canterbury in Christchurch New Zealand from 2001 to 2015, helping undergraduates and postgrads to study efficiently and improve their writing and oral presentations. At St Mellitus she advises students at all levels from those finding their feet as they begin tertiary study, to those expressing complex theology in their postgraduate theses. When she isn’t helping students, Stephanie works part-time for St Hild College in Yorkshire and is a freelance editor and writing adviser. She is married to John, who is adviser on mission strategy and church revitalisation for the Archbishop of York, and Vicar of St Chads, Knavesmire.
